⭓ 客製選書的起源
最一開始有這個想法，是起源於書店工作的經驗，像是選書進書、推薦書給讀者，久了才慢慢收到讀者回饋很喜歡推薦的書，因此我才決定把這個概念移到線上進行，透過自己的帳號及方式推廣閱讀。最一開始，我預想的受眾，其實是那些已經沒有閱讀書本習慣的人，其次才是有閱讀習慣，但想試試看別人推薦書本的感覺。
⭓ 客製選書與一般書單的不同處――你才是主角，而我不是
對我來說，填寫閱讀需求的人才是主角，而我不是。
這個概念類似做心理諮商時，心理師的角色只是協助釐清案主的內心想法、一起討論。而真正最關鍵的人物，其實是個案本身對於自我探索、自我接納及理解等等的程度到了哪邊。
因此，選書的過程，我的角色就像是透過讀者給我的訊息，讓我去知道或是釐清、猜測，對方可能需要的書或電影，以及他可能會喜歡但不知道的，又或者是我覺得其實他可以讀讀看的。這其實也是一種探索的過程，沒有對錯好壞。如果，我選的書符合讀者的喜好，除了我自己培養的書感跟觀察力之外，多少是有一點點巧合。我覺得，出乎我意料的，是目前的選書經驗，絕大多數都有選到讀者喜愛的書，或是很容易選到讀者待讀的書、喜愛的作家等等。
以一般書單來說，就是出於自己對議題的了解，或是喜好程度而選出的書單。基本上，出發點是自己，而非他人。這是我覺得客製選書跟一般書單有很大差異的地方。
